Invitation to participate
How the patient advocacy function is structured, resourced and integrated across biotech and pharma. Your answers build the report that defends headcount, budget and a seat at the table.
Start the surveyWhy this study exists
Every advocacy leader defends the same ground each planning cycle. This study gives you industry data to answer with, in place of anecdote.
How big are peer teams, and where do they sit in the organization?
What do comparable functions run on, and who controls the spend?
Where does advocacy influence decisions, and where does it get consulted late?
What the survey covers
The questions come straight from the conversations PPALS members already have, in the PACT course, in discussion groups and at Member Only Happy Hours.
Who should respond
Answer for your own company if you lead or work inside the patient advocacy function at a biotech or pharma company. One response per company gives the cleanest data.
If a colleague owns the budget numbers, forward the link to them.
What you get back
Each participating company receives an executive summary of the study. Archo Advocacy and PPALS publish the results together and share the proceeds from the final report.
Responses are due October 14, 2026. Need more time? Email matt.toresco@archo.io and we will work with you.
Confidentiality
Results are reported in aggregate. PPALS did not share, sell, trade or otherwise make its contact database available to Archo Advocacy.
The partnership
PPALS accepted an invitation to collaborate on the survey and to help with its distribution. Archo Advocacy has produced syndicated advocacy research since 2015. The two organizations co-brand this study, publish its results and share the proceeds from the final report.
Questions about the study: jean@ppals.org (Jean Campbell, PPALS) or matt.toresco@archo.io (Matt Toresco, Archo Advocacy).
One response from you turns into the number every advocacy leader can cite next year.
